Victoria- Julien Dodu and Julian Monks set the tone on Days 1
and 2 of Summer Nationals, setting two new club records.
Dodu lowered his own club record in the 1500m Freestyle,
swimming to a 30th place finish on his first day at his first
Senior National Championships. Oodu also lowered his best time by
over a second in the 200FR, and is closing in on both the Senior
National standard and the Club Record currently held by teammate
Zach Fedak.
Monks, who set the Club Record back in 2007 in the Men's 100m
Breastroke, shattered the old mark by a full second, swimming to a
final time of 1:04.63. Monks placed 2nd in the C Final, in an event
that featured 5 International swimmers. Monks's time was the 11th
fastest by a Canadian swimmer in the event.

Final of the Women's 200 Butterfly on Day 1, just over her club
record set in a LZR bodysuit last season. Ste. Marie was the 3rd
fastest 18&Under swimmer in the event, and the top Ontario
female in the event as well.

finished up in 16th position and was also just over her club record
set in a body suit last season.

represents his first time swimming under the Senior National

since April. The Men's and Women's freestyle relays competed in the
Finals session, highlighted by Darelle Cowley's split time of 58.70
for her leg of the race, and Alex Andrechuk and Michelle Fleming
swimming well below their lifetime bests in order to help the team.
Day 4 was the scene for two additional Club Records. Devin Ste.
Marie got things started with a fantastic swim in the 200IM,
